I'm amused with myself and how excited I get about the first signs of spring. Every year, I almost give up hope that it winter will ever end. Ah, it feels good to pull the old, dead brambles away from the fresh bright spikes pushing their way up! Weeding is not even a chore this early in the season. It's a delight to get dirt under my nails, but I have to work on desensitizing myself to the bugs I run across in the mix. I've been reviewing the planting dates for various vegetables and planning my garden and can't wait to start!
